To how many days on earth is a day in the presence of Allah equal to?

To how many days on earth is a day in the presence of Allah equal to. The time mentioned in two verses of Quran is emphasized in this claim. Since the periods mentioned in Quran are different, some people claim that there is a contradiction. The verses are as follows:

In fact a day in the presence of Allah is like a thousand years of your days. (22 Hac Surah – 47)

Here it says that one day in the presence of Allah is equal to one thousand years of our days. The second verse is as follows:

He arranges all of the acts on earth and in the skies. These acts ascend in just one day which is equal to a thousand years of your days. (32 Secde Surah, 5)

It is mentioned here that the acts will be ascended in a day which is equal to a thousand years of our days. The point to be emphasized here is the “acts”, the ascended acts. The third verse is as follows:

The angels and Gabriel, ascend to him in a day which is fifty thousand years of your days. (70 Mearic Surah, 4)

It is mentioned here that the angels and Gabriel ascend to him in a day which is fifty thousand years of our days. Take care that it was the “acts” ascended in the previous verse. They are ascended in a day equal to a thousand years. In the last verse the angels and Gabriel ascend. So there are two different periods for two different elements. The first element is the “acts” and the second is the “angels and Gabriel”. The question that should be asked here is how come a day for us is a thousand years for acts and fifty thousand years for the angels? The hidden fact here is that time is relative. The relativity theory tells us that time is comparative.

When the speed of a substance increases, the time slows down for it. This is a theoretically and practically proven fact. The relativity of time is emphasized in the verse when saying that the angels ascend in a day which is equal to fifty thousand years of our days. While the time is fifty thousand years for the human beings, it is just one day for someone moving really very fast. The verses say that the angels ascend in fifty thousand years while the acts ascend in one thousand years.

A day in the presence of Allah is equal to one thousand years of our days. But something different is told in the verse about the angels. It is obvious that time will speed up comparing to earth when travelling in very fast speeds. So, different facts are underlined in those two verses.

The point we want to emphasize here is to show that time is relative and that the time will differ according to the speed of the moving person or element. Otherwise it is not claimed that the angels move towards a definite direction in the 3 dimensional cosmos. They may be moving in different directions or dimensions. We may ask here if angels consistently ascend to the presence of Allah. The verses in Kadir Surah answer this question.

The Kadir night is more beneficial than a thousand months. In that night the angels and Gabriel descend for each act with the permission of Allah. (97 Kadir Surah, 3-4)

As understood from this verse, the angels and Gabriel descended to realize all acts in the night called the Kadir night. A consistent movement is not available.
